About Gentlemen of The Club

About Us

Gentlemen of The Club is reimagining the matchday experience.

We host stylish, comfortable and sophisticated events for football fans who want something more than a plastic pint in a packed pub.

This is the start of a new kind of football culture - refined, social, and built by fans like you.

Our goal?

To grow into a full time members club, where football fans can enjoy premium drinks, great company and a matchday atmosphere that actually feels good.

Keep an eye on our events page for our next events and join our waitlist to be notified of our upcoming events.

Founders Story

Guy Shipman

For Guy, Gentlemen of The Club began as more than a concept.

After years working in recruitment, he’d watched every pint-spilled, at overcrowded pubs and thought, there must be a better way to celebrate the game with the same pride and polish as the people who love it.

So he built it.

Guy brings a sense of structure and ambition to the brand, the kind that turns an idea into a real, breathing business. Every event, every detail, from the glassware to the guestlist, is shaped by his vision to redefine what it means to be a football fan: cultured, social, and comfortable in good company.

Danny Stapleton

Danny is the heartbeat of the matchday. A natural connector, he brings warmth and charisma to every Gentlemen of The Club event.

For him, the brand isn’t about exclusivity, it’s about belonging.

Having spent years immersed in football culture, he knows both its highs and its flaws. His goal is to create an environment where people can talk, laugh, debate, and enjoy the game without the noise or bravado that too often comes with it.

Danny makes each event feel like a private gathering among old friends, even when guests have only just met.
